Hello! I'm going to be running a table at a community event to support wildfire-affected communities. I'd love to print out copies of this game to hand out!
I wouldn't be selling the cards, but I would have a suggested donation. Any proceeds would go toward the Downtown Los Angeles women's shelter. Could you let me know if you're okay with this? If you'd prefer you can reach me at logan@lighthiveintegration.org. Ty for considering!
It's been a long time since I've visited this page or this game. I saw this map, and I think it nestles in very sweetly with what my intention was here: https://www.queeringthemap.com/
Ooh! Lovely. Just shared this with all of the upper elementary teachers at my two schools, as an interesting class exercise when looking at maps and cartography.
This is such a cool idea! I've been going on daily walks with my partner for a while, I'd love to play this game with them mapping out everything we walk by.

I'm glad it resonated with you! Happy to have it used for this cause - thank you for asking and best of luck!
Thank you!
A friend sent me this review of the Wander Society. I especially enjoy the examples of how it reframes navigating real space.
further reading about kind of the reverse of this game: how does our culture and the needs of unrelated groups affect what information goes on a map, and whether or not it is accurate? https://www.404media.co/pokemon-go-players-invent-fake-beaches-on-real-maps-to-c...
this one came from tom scott's wonderful newsletter, here's some map men talking about inverting your thoughts when it comes to which way is up:
